Fred 32歲了，還是單身。

One day a friend asked, "Why aren't you married? Can't you find a woman who will be a good wife?"

一天一個朋友問，“為什么你不結婚?你找不到一個能成為好妻子的女人嗎?”

Fred replied, "Actually, I've found many women that I have wanted to marry, but when I bring them home to meet my parents, my mother doesn't like them."

Fred回答說，“其實，我找到了很多我想結婚的女人，但是我把她們帶回家見父母時，我媽媽不喜歡她們。”

His friend thinks for a moment and says, "I've got the perfect solution, just find a girl who's just like your mother."

他朋友想了一會，然后說，“我有一個好辦法，你就找一個像你媽媽的人不就行了。”

A few months later they meet again and his friend says, "Did you find the perfect girl? Did your mother like her?"

幾個月過后，他們由見面了，他的朋友問，“你找到你的完美女孩了嗎?你媽媽喜歡她嗎?”

With a frown on his face, Fred answers, "Yes, I found the perfect girl. She was just like my mother. You were right, my mother liked her very much."

眉頭緊蹙，Fred答道，“恩，我找到了完美女孩，她就像我媽媽一樣。你說的對，我媽媽很喜歡她。”

The friend said, "Then what's the problem?"

朋友問，“那又是什么問題，你們沒在一起呢?”

Fred replied, "My father doesn't like her."

Fred 回答說，“我爸爸不喜歡她。”
