Talent 意為：天賦，才華
展示才華的節(jié)目自然就是“選秀節(jié)目”了
Talent shows can provide a platform for people who want to stand in the spotlight.
選秀節(jié)目能為那些想站在聚光燈下的人提供一個平臺。
類似的表達(dá)還有：

Idol
偶像派
John is an idol star.
約翰是偶像派明星。
A: Jack is very handsome and he is an idol actor.
杰克長得非常帥，他是一個偶像派演員。
B: But his acting is also superb.
但是他的演技也十分精湛。

Other than being able to sing, this talented star is also a composer and an actor.

Mary is the spokesperson for a famous brand now.
瑪麗現(xiàn)在是某著名品牌的代言人。
A: Why are you so excited?

B: Mr.Smith told me that they would have me as the spokesperson.
