You Haven’t Found It yet?

A man got lost on the way to the theater in a small town. He stopped at a farmhouse, where a woman gave him excellent directions. A week later he went back to see another play, got lost again and stopped at the same house. When the woman came to the door, she exclaimed, “You haven’t found it yet?”

一個男子在去小鎮(zhèn)的劇院時迷了路。他停在一家農(nóng)舍前，一個婦女清楚地告訴他該怎么走。一個星期以后，他又去看劇，又走迷了路。他停留在同一家農(nóng)舍前。當同一個婦女走出來開門的時候驚叫起來：“你還沒有找到?”

【詞匯講解】

1.lost迷路。也可以指“不知說什么才好”：When he told me what she’d done to him I was lost for words.他告訴我她對他的所作所為時，我驚訝得說不出話來。

2.direction指示。也有“范圍”的意思： We are making changes in various directions.我們在進行多方面的改革。

3. excellent優(yōu)秀的，杰出的。 It's excellent that you are here.你在這兒太好了。

4. exclaim驚呼。 He exclaimed that it was untrue.他大聲說那不是真的。
