請(qǐng)別人幫忙做事時(shí)，在句子前面加by any chance，表示“有機(jī)會(huì)的話……”，很委婉，聽(tīng)起來(lái)你是一個(gè)如此有修養(yǎng)的人，classy! elegant!

比如：

• By any chance，could you help me to ask your sister to come down？

• Will you be going to the finance meeting tomorrow by any chance?

用please 要注意：

• 要把please放在句尾。不然放在句首，聽(tīng)起來(lái)會(huì)很不耐煩。

例如：

Could I have a glass of water，please? ?

Please，could I have a glass of water? ?

因?yàn)?please 放在句首會(huì)稍微帶一點(diǎn)要求命令的語(yǔ)氣。

常用英文寫郵件的小伙伴注意啦：

書(shū)面語(yǔ)中，比如在給客戶或老板寫郵件時(shí)：

• 可以把please替換成could you…或may I…等疑問(wèn)句，

• 或者換成……will be highly appreciated/ I'd appreciate it if……
