上周一,在阿拉巴馬州一名小學(xué)生攜帶槍支上學(xué)后,不慎發(fā)生了意外走火。
Huntsville Police Chief Mark McMurray told news outlets a "small student" brought the gun to school at Blossomwood Elementary School in Huntsville.
亨茨維爾警察局局長(zhǎng)馬克·麥克默里向媒體透露,一名低年級(jí)小學(xué)生將槍支帶到了亨茨維爾的布勞伍迪小學(xué)。
Police said the student had been showing the gun to other students when it went off, shooting him in the hand. McMurray said the child was not"seriously harmed."
警方稱,這名學(xué)生是在向其他同學(xué)展示槍支時(shí)意外發(fā)生的走火,其手部被射傷了。麥克默里表示,好在這名孩子的傷勢(shì)并不太嚴(yán)重。

McMurray said it appears to be an accidental shooting. He said there was "no intent to harm anyone."
麥克默里稱,整個(gè)事件應(yīng)該屬于一次意外走火。這名孩子沒(méi)有故意傷害他人的目的。
He urged parents to keep their guns secured at home.
他呼吁父母應(yīng)該將家中槍支放在安全的地方。
"If you have a weapon in your house, there is nothing wrong with that, but you do need to safeguard it. You need to lock these weapons down."
“如果你的家里有槍支武器,其實(shí)并沒(méi)有什么不妥,不過(guò)你需要管好這些武器。你需要把這些武器鎖起來(lái)。”
The school system did not release the children's age or grade. The school serves students up to fifth grade.
