                                                           That red truck

                                               coming down the mountain

                                        with our tree?Davey's eyes light up;

                               joy flutters accross his face like a dove in flight;

                         excitement dances around his legs as they convey him

                   to window, back to Mother's lap, to door--searching, yearning

            belief tugging his toes. It won't be long now. I know. He looks into her

     quiet face, beaming. Listen....listen, someone's coming up the drive. Maybe it's

Father. Could it be father?"Yes! Yes!" he cries. He races to the door and yanks it wide.
