《增廣賢文》。又名《昔時(shí)賢文》《古今賢文》，是中國(guó)明代時(shí)期編寫(xiě)的道家兒童啟蒙書(shū)目。書(shū)名最早見(jiàn)之于明萬(wàn)歷年間的戲曲《牡丹亭》，據(jù)此可推知此書(shū)最遲寫(xiě)成于萬(wàn)歷年間。《增廣賢文》集結(jié)中國(guó)從古到今的各種格言、諺語(yǔ)。后來(lái)，經(jīng)過(guò)明、清兩代文人的不斷增補(bǔ)，才改成現(xiàn)在這個(gè)模樣，稱(chēng)《增廣昔時(shí)賢文》，通稱(chēng)《增廣賢文》。

祖宗富貴，
自詩(shī)書(shū)中來(lái)，
子孫享富貴而賤詩(shī)書(shū)；
祖宗家業(yè)，
自勤儉中來(lái)，
子孫得家業(yè)而忘勤儉。
以孝律身，
即出將入相，
都做得妥妥亭亭，
以忍氣；
雖橫禍飛災(zāi)，
也免脫千千萬(wàn)萬(wàn)。

Descendants of ten enjoy the wealth
But despise books and scriptures;
The homes established by ancestors
Originate in thrift and diligence,
Descendants often receive the homes
But forget about thrift and diligence.
You can keep doing things properly
Even when you become a general
Or a Prime Minister,
If you can restrict yourself to filial duty;
You can always escape troubles and disasters
Even when they come unexpectedly and quickly,
If you can dispel your anger with endurance.
