President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 6th World Internet Conference, which opened Sunday in the town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang province. Countries should follow the trend of the times, shoulder the responsibility for development, meet the challenges and risks, jointly promote global governance in cyberspace and strive to build a community of shared future in cyberspace, Xi said.

世界互聯(lián)網大會(World Internet Conference，簡稱：WIC)，是由中華人民共和國倡導并每年在浙江省嘉興市桐鄉(xiāng)烏鎮(zhèn)舉辦的世界性互聯(lián)網盛會，旨在搭建中國與世界互聯(lián)互通的國際平臺和國際互聯(lián)網共享共治的中國平臺，讓各國在爭議中求共識、在共識中謀合作、在合作中創(chuàng)共贏。首屆世界互聯(lián)網大會于2014年11月19日至21日在烏鎮(zhèn)舉辦。2019年10月20日至22日，第六屆世界互聯(lián)網大會在浙江省桐鄉(xiāng)市烏鎮(zhèn)舉行。大會主題為“智能互聯(lián) 開放合作——攜手共建網絡空間命運共同體”。本次大會將聚集“科學與技術”、“產業(yè)與經濟”、“人文與社會”、“合作與治理”四大重點板塊，共設20個分論壇，秉持開放、平等、互信、共贏的理念，邀請全球互聯(lián)網領軍人物及重量級嘉賓共同探討與回應當前國際社會對5G、人工智能、物聯(lián)網等新技術、新業(yè)態(tài)發(fā)展的深度關切。

Cyberspace is the common space of activities for mankind. The future of cyberspace should be in the hands of all countries. Countries should start up communications, broaden consensus and deepen cooperation, to jointly build a community of shared future in cyberspace.
