習(xí)語(yǔ)：a nine day's wonder

講解：wonder作為名詞，意指“奇跡”或“奇觀”。A nine day's wonder的字面意思是“一個(gè)只持續(xù)了九天的奇跡”，比喻“轟動(dòng)一時(shí)即被遺忘的人或物”。

迷你對(duì)話：

A :John seems to be in high cotton. He may well become a big shot.

John走紅起來(lái)了，他有可能成為個(gè)大人物。

B :I bet my button dollar that he won't. He is no more than a nine day's wonder.
