A:Would you like a cigarette?
A:抽煙嗎?
B:No,thanks.I've decided to give up smoking.
B:不，謝謝。我已經(jīng)決定戒煙了。
A:Really? Why?
A:真的?為什么?
B:Well,it's just that I think if you don't enjoy doing something any more,you should stop doing it.
B:嗯，就是因?yàn)槲矣X(jué)得如果你不喜歡再干什么事情的話，你就不要做好了。
A:I see. You mean you don't enjoy smoking any more?
A:噢。你的意思是說(shuō)你不再喜歡吸煙啦?
B:That's right. You should give it up, too. It's bad for your health.
B:對(duì)呀。你也應(yīng)該戒掉。吸煙對(duì)你的健康不利。
A:Stop talking like my mother. That's what she keeps saying.
A:別又像我媽媽似的。她就總這么說(shuō)。
B:But it's true. It's a nasty habit. I can't think why I ever started. Anyway ,it's obviously got you in its grip !
B:可我說(shuō)的是真的。吸煙是個(gè)壞習(xí)慣。我都想不明白我開(kāi)始是怎么吸上的。反正它把你控制住了。
A:What do you mean? What are you talking about?
A:你是什么意思?你在說(shuō)什么呀?
B:I mean you couldn't give it up!
B:我是說(shuō)你戒不掉啦!
A:Who? Me? Could't give up smoking? Nonsense! Of course I could !I know I could !
A:誰(shuí)戒不掉?我嗎?戒不掉吸煙?胡說(shuō)!我當(dāng)然能戒掉!我知道我能戒掉!
B:How do you know?
B:你怎么知道你戒得攆呢?
A:Because I've already proved it. Smoking's the easiest thing in the world to give up. I've done it hundreds of times!
A:因?yàn)槲乙呀?jīng)證明過(guò)了。吸煙是世界上最容易戒掉的東西。我都戒了好多次了!
