　　adorn: to make sth/sb look more attractive by decorating it or them with sth 裝飾;使生色

　　The hall was adorned with flowers.

　　大廳裝飾著鮮花。

　　polish: to improve a piece of writing, a speech etc by making slight changes to it before it is completely finished 使優(yōu)美,使精煉;潤(rùn)飾

　　The speaker spent several days polishing her lecture.

　　演講者花了幾天時(shí)間潤(rùn)飾她的演講稿。

　　注：adorn 的意思是“修飾，裝飾，打扮”不能用于文章、作品的“潤(rùn)色”。polish 的意思是“擦亮(機(jī)器)，拋光(器具)，使......優(yōu)美，使(語言、文字)洗練，潤(rùn)飾(文章，作品)。
